Gray Silva featured in Total Tattoo
Ever wondered what our very own Gray Silva gets up to when he’s not tattooing? Total Tattoo magazine recently featured Gray in a huge 6 page interview.
Gray’s family have always embraced hard graft and creativity, so it’s no wonder that he inherited these qualities himself. When he’s not tattooing or drawing, he is gigging with one of his bands, singing with a barbershop quartet, or building up his fledgling custom bike business. Plus he always finds time to spend with his young children, as he knows they will grow up in the blink of an eye.
On motorcycles Gray said “Ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to take things apart. Christmas morning I would be playing with my new toys and by the afternoon they would all be in bits. I needed to see how things worked and that has never left me. Cars, bikes, tattoo machines… So the bike thing just developed from those early days.”
Aside from bikes and tattoos, music is Gray’s longest lasting love. “My love of music comes from my family. As a kid I was always in school shows. My brother is a trained opera singer and we sang in various choirs.”
The first thing Gray learned to play was the drums, but now he plays a total of 8 different instruments, as well as sings.
